Getting to Cargèse

Ajaccio is the nearest airport to Cargèse and is connected by several daily flights to Paris and other European cities. Please visit the Ajaccio airport website for a list of airlines serving the area. For other means of traveling to Cargèse visit the town webpage.

We will organize a shared cab from Ajaccio airport to Cargese on Sunday late afternoon (around 18:00 - when most planes should arrive) if you express interest. If this is not convenient for you, a taxi service from the airport to Cargèse costs approximately 100 EUR for normal transfer and 120 EUR for early, late and non working day transfer and takes less than one hour.

You might also want to consider driving to Cargèse. In this case, be aware that the roads on the island are very winding and thus do not expect an average speed above 40 km/h (moreover the traffic might be heavy in July). This also applies if you plan to fly to another airport in Corsica and then drive to Cargèse.

Accommodation

We will take care of the accommodation for all participants. In principle, all participants will be hosted in shared rooms located at the institute. Note that the accommodation is at the charge of the participant. If you have other preferences or would like to book the accommodation on your own (it is possible to stay at nearby hotels, please let us know as soon as possible. An estimation of the total "accommodation plus registration" cost for the workshop is between 400 EUR (if you stay at the institute) and 600 EUR (if you stay in a hotel).
